What music, audiobooks, or podcasts are filling your studio airtime lately?

The Emerald Podcast and Armchair Experts on Expert are often playing. Current audiobook is Dune Messiah.

What new ceramics have you added to your collection this year that you can’t live without now?

My favorite new pots came from Mark Hewitt: A large pitcher that I use to water my plants and display flowers, and a couple of his mugs.

In an alternate life, what would you be doing?

I'd be the banjo player in an old-time band.

Share the most significant thing that happened to you and your work/studio practice in 2024?

I spent the month of January working alongside Mark Hewitt, a long-time clay idol/inspiration of mine, in his Pittsboro, NC workshop. Getting to work with him for that time changed the way I think about potting for a living.

What big plans do you have for 2025?

Hoping to buy a home, build out a studio and wood kiln, and bring the dream to life!

What dream residency (either real or fantasy) would you like to attend?

I've fantasized about working at the Leach Pottery for a long time. There are specific potters whom I'd love to work closely with in their studios such as Ken Matsuzaki, Mike Dodd, and Svend Bayer.
