Probably a vintage 1930s diner mug or an earthenware mug made by Ayumi Horie.

In an alternate life, what would you be doing?

Coaching wrestling, or working in the fly fishing industry. Maybe teaching skiing. Not sure.

What's your favorite go to potluck recipe? What ceramic piece do you serve it in?  

Probably fresh sourdough served in a Stuart Gair cloche.
