What's your favorite go to potluck recipe? What ceramic piece do you serve it in?  

I love making and decorating cakes, all kinds, and enjoy serving them on a gorgeous Kristen Kieffer cake stand.

Why clay?

I'm a big fan of concept is king, choose your materials to serve your ideas, etc, etc, so I've moved through many materials in my career. And yet I always seem to circle back to my original love affair with ceramics. The magical transformation, maddening fragility, the perfecting of a process only to have the clay one day decide to suddenly do something different. Maybe that's what I love too, the untamed nature, even when working in my highly controlled manner the material always has the final say.
