What new ceramics have you added to your collection?
I know this is the wrong answer, but my own! Historically, I never kept any of my own pieces and in the past few years I have been keeping a few pieces around that are mine. It's been teaching me a lot about my own work.
In an emergency, where you can only save one ceramic object- what piece do you rescue and why?
It's a toss up between an Alison Reintjes or a Jeff Oestreich bowl. It would be which ever one was located closer to the exit. They are both pieces I use daily.
Share the most significant thing that happened to you and your work/studio practice in 2022?
I decided I was taking sabbatical from making functional pots. It was a really freeing experience and it has allowed me to think of my work differently and to take off some of the pressure about what I was making.
