Working in clay offers the richest and most direct connection to exploring the boundary between certainty and risk.

In an alternate life, what would you be doing?

If I had not met Kirk Mangus and Eva Kwong, I might have become an architect in Northeastern Ohio.

What dream residency would you like to attend?

I am grateful for all residency experiences, particularly those in far flung locations, Rome and Hawaii being favorites. But I always long for my favorite residency--long, dedicated time as a resident artist in my own studio, which I am lucky to share with my partner.
